Ravenclaw Yarn
I decided to give dyeing yarn another try. I dyed some KnitPicks 100% merino superwash yarn with Wilton food coloring paste. It was very easy, but very messy! I am going to use this for my Ravenclaw socks for the Hogwarts Sock Swap.

Wow! I cant wait to see how they look. I've been toying with the thought of trying to dye my own yarn. Do you spin too? I see on the Woolbearers site that they teach spinning too.
I just tried kool-aid dyeing and it was a lot of fun. In fact some of it may show up in your swap package. And by the way you've been tagged. Come by and visit my blog and see the rules of the game.
I am a 40-something Business Analyst living in The Blueberry Capital of the WORLD ... in Southern NJ. My boyfriend, Mike, and I have a comic business and that keeps us pretty busy most of the time. My favorite time of year is summer, when I can do fun things outside like lounging by the pool or "going down the shore".
The first peace, which is the most important, is that which comes within the souls of men when they realize their oneness with the universe and all its powers, and when they realize that at the center of the universe dwells the Great Spirit, and that this center is really everywhere; it is within each of us.
